Vaccinations, medication and travel advice

Do you need vaccinations?

Wellspring surgery offers the following vaccinations on the NHS, but does not offer a travel clinic service:

You will need to visit a travel clinic or a travel information site (listed in the middle column), before booking an appointment at Wellspring. They will provide you with a print out of which vaccinations you need for the country you are visiting. You will need this print out to bring along with you to an appointment so that the nurse can administer the correct vaccination; you cannot make an appointment without this prior knowledge.

If you require vaccinations that the NHS does not cover (such as yellow fever) the travel clinics can provide these for a charge, however the Wellspring Surgery does not offer any other vaccines than the 4 listed above.

Pre-travel Information

Before you travel, it’s important to find out whether you will need vaccinations for the country you’re visiting. The following websites will give you advice and help you identify which vaccines you need. They can also provide other health advice such as malaria medication. The Nomad Clinic and Superdrug offer vaccines for a charge.
